The Schmieding CNA program takes five weeks to complete, offering our students more lab time for hands-on skill training than any other program in the state. Our nationally recognized, evidence-based curriculum is taught by experienced Registered Nurses who make sure our students have time to absorb, retain and master the required skills, without feeling overly rushed.
Research has shown that the more hands-on skill training students receive, the more competent and confident they will be on the job. At the Schmieding Center, we promote the highest standards in caregiver training. In addition to our focus on knowledge and hands-on skills, we teach and demonstrate problem-solving through critical thinking skills so that students who complete our program are prepared to provide the highest quality of care for an aging population.
Our comprehensive CNA curriculum is continually reviewed and revised to meet national best practice standards.
