Alzheimer's hug comfortsStudies have shown a powerful tool in communicating with a person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia is by simply hugging them.  If a loved one is losing their ability to communicate and understand, a simple hug can comfort and reassure them. Touch alone is a powerful communication method, but a hug releases endorphins that makes them feel comforted.
