Tools to Help Seniors Avoid Exploitation

Jonesboro, AR – Criminals take more than $36 billion from older Americans every year through financial abuse and outright fraud.

If it seems too good to be true, most often it is!

Scammers have a keen way to make people believe that they’ll be better off if they go along with their deal. However, scam artists are the ones who are better off because they leave with your money/valuables and leave you with broken promises.

This fraud and identity theft presentation will be held on Friday, March 8 from 12 noon to 2 pm at the St. Bernards Health and Wellness Conference Center.  It will offer tips & tools to help senior adults, family caregivers or other interested persons learn more about the dangers of exploitation and how to recognize them.

Brought to you by the UAMS Center on Aging -Northeast and Sponsored by Bancorp South and Oldham Law Firm. Lunch will be provided and seating is limited.

Please call 870-207-7595 to register. *The first 20 people to register will be entered to win a $100 Visa Gift Card.*
