Making Your End of Life Wishes Known

Have your thought about or even shared your end of life wishes with family and friends?  It’s never too early to plan; in fact, it’s best to do it before it’s too late.   Watch this video to get motivated:  Click Here

Advance care planning is NOT just about old age. At any age, a medical crisis could leave someone too ill to make his or her own healthcare decisions. Even if you are not sick now, making healthcare plans for the future is an important step toward ensuring you get the medical care you desire.  When you are prepared, doctors and family will be able to speak up for you when you cannot.

The week of April 16 is considered National Healthcare Decisions Day week in which folks everywhere are encouraged to start conversations and create a plan for advance directives (end of life planning).  Make the decision to let those closest to you know your wishes.

The Center on Aging Northeast will be hosting a free seminar in Newport on April 20, during this NHDD week with Chad Oldham, JD of the Oldham Law Firm in Jonesboro.  He will provide information about financial planning and end of life wishes. Call 870-207-7598 for more information.
