Jonesboro Students Graduate as In-Home Assistants
Erica Cooper, Ashley Rollins and Ashley Wilson are the newest Graduates from Jonesboro’s UAMS Schmieding Home Caregiver Training program. As In-Home Assistants (also known as PCA) these ladies are certified to do home care in Arkansas thru a non-medical home care agency or private duty. However, they have all chosen to return to become certified in Alzheimer’s and Dementia care and as Home Care Assistants. This will qualify them to take their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam and be licensed by the state. Both options are excellent choices to change their lives for the better. With the rising need for good caregivers and more folks choosing to remain in their own home, these ladies will always have a career with great demand. In addition, they could choose to work in a hospital or nursing home/assisted living facility. Congratulations to these ladies and we are proud of you and your choice to continue your education for the next few weeks.
