Healthy Families Stick Together with Walgreens & UAMS in El Dorado

On Friday, October 20th, UAMS Centers on Aging and Walgreens partnered for our first “Healthy Families Stick Together” vaccination event for adults at our El Dorado location.  We had almost 30 participants receive the flu shot, pneumonia vaccine and TDap boosters.  Our valued community partner, Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation, provided refreshments.

As the participants were waiting for their turns, they were able to tour our facility and see for themselves what the South Arkansas Center on Aging education center offers.  Between our caregiver training classroom, fun and educational events, healthy aging literature, training facilities and our 24/7 SUCCESS program for family caregivers, we offer many resources for El Dorado, Union County and the surrounding areas.
