Schmieding Center in El Dorado to Host ALS Outreach Event
The Schmieding Home Caregiver Training Center in El Dorado will be hosting an educational outreach event supporting the ALS Association of Arkansas. This free event is open to the entire community, and will feature an in-depth mini workshop on physical skills for ALS caregivers presented by Bethany Cheatham, RN, CDP. Topics will include information on infection control, skin care, nutrition, body mechanics, mobility, general stress management, safety, and activities of daily living. Other members of the senior health community will be present with booths featuring information on speech devices, home care options, respiratory aides, and more!
This event will be held at the Schmieding Center on Wednesday, June 24th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Lunch will be provided free of charge. The Schmieding Center is located in historic downtown El Dorado at 106 West Main St, Suite 310.
