El Dorado Alzheimer’s Disease Support Group
El Dorado – Alzheimer’s Disease is life-changing for both those who are diagnosed and those close to them. Our support groups provide a place to connect with other caregivers who truly understand what you are going through.
The South Arkansas Center on Aging and the Area Agency on Aging sponsor an Alzheimer’s Support Group on the third Thursday of every month from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Simmons First Bank in the 2nd floor conference room. Often times, we hear caregivers say they are looking for support from people who “really understand because they’ve been there, too.” An Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group offers just that – a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with dementia to meet and develop a mutual support system.
