Caring for a Person with Dementia

In 2016, 15.9 million family members and friends provided 18.2 billion hours of unpaid assistance to those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, a contribution to the nation valued at $230.1 billion.*

The South Arkansas Center on Aging, together with Schmieding Home Caregiver Training Program, is sponsoring a FREE Family Caregiver Workshop: Dementia on August 29, 2017. This workshop will present an overview of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and provide caregiving tips that help maintain respect, dignity and quality of life for the person living with dementia.

Providing care for a loved one with dementia can be challenging and overwhelming. But with knowledge and understanding, we can improve both the lives of our loved one living with dementia and our own. Join us!
