Integrative Health Survey
As an individual who registered to attend one of the UAMS Integrative Health Series programs offered in the fall of 2019, we would like your opinions as we develop our program for 2020. Please review the definition that follows for the term integrative health.
- Integrative health is defined as a comprehensive, often interdisciplinary approach to healthcare including treatment, prevention, and health promotion that brings together complementary, alternative, conventional treatments, as well as new therapies. It is a holistic approach to overall health and well-being that can be achieved without the use of pharmaceutical drugs or opioids. There are many practices and techniques a person can implement into their daily routines that can produce a quality of health that drugs might not be able to attain. Integrative health is beneficial no matter a person’s age, gender, race, socioeconomic status, or health insurance. Integrative health is for everyone at any stage of life or wellness. Oftentimes, even a small change in a person’s routine or eating habit can produce significantly positive outcomes.
