FREE Dementia Care Workshop in White Hall

Caring for a loved one with dementia? Join us for this FREE Dementia Care Workshop taught by our experienced nurse educators.

This workshop will provide an overview of dementia and caregiving for anyone providing unpaid care for an older adult with dementia. Through lecture, hands-on demonstrations, and individual questions, the workshop reviews:

  • Types & stages of dementia
  • Dealing with caregiver stress or burnout
  • Communication techniques
  • Enhancing self-esteem and dignity
  • Activities of daily living such as dressing and medication administration
  • Home safety
  • Nutrition
  • Local resources & reference materials
