Diabetes is a disease that can be managed with knowledge and practice. Your Center on Aging provides a variety of tools to assist you, and taking advantage of these services is a wonderful investment in you! One of these tools is the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program (D.E.E.P.). It is a workshop that provides a lot of practical information in a fun, interactive way. These classes meet weekly for 6 weeks with different topics discussed each week. Other offerings in your area may include healthy cooking classes, printed materials, assistance with referrals for services, etc. Contact your Center on Aging and see what services they provide.
