New Year’s Students Practice Caregiver Skills

[fusion_text]Our first In-Home Assistant class of the year practiced skills such as the Heimlich maneuver and gait belt transfers today. These are some of the first skills taught to students entering our Schmieding Home Caregiver Training program. By the time they graduate, these students will have all the knowledge and skills they need to provide superior care to older adults in the home or even go on to test for their CNA license to begin a career in nursing!
