Which means, the number of personal care aides will need to grow by 49% to meet demand. The UAMS Schmieding Home Caregiver Training Program was founded in 1999 to meet this demand. The program offers a three course series that focuses on training exceptional caregivers, with a statewide completion rate of 96% in certified classes.<\/p>\n<p>An important and significant portion of this series is a three day course that focuses on Alzheimers and Dementia. This course teaches how to provide care and support for a person diagnosed with Dementia.
