Alzheimer/Dementia Class Scheduled to begin 1/24/2017

Schmieding Fort Smith will be offering Alzheimer’s and Dementia beginning January 24, 2017. This three day course provides information and instruction on how to provide support and care for a person with dementia. This course is recommended for anyone care for someone with dementia in the home, adult day care or institutional setting.

Congratulations IHA Graduates!

Congratulations to these 5 lades for earning their certification as In Home Assistants. They worked hard to complete the 40 hour course and most plan to continue on with the Alzheimer/Dementia course and the Home Care Assistant course. Upon completing all three courses they will be on their way to becoming Certified Nursing Assistants.

Next IHA Class Enrolling Now

The next In Home Assistant class is now enrolling. The In Home Assistant class provides basic instruction on caregiving in the home. Participants receive information and skills training necessary to provide support to older adults requiring minimal to moderate assistance.

The latest Home Care Assistant graduates from Fort Smith are: Haley Rongey and Marissa Rodriguez. These ladies completed the HCA class on April 8th. We are proud of you!
