Welcome Sara Webb, LPN!

We are pleased to have Sara Webb, LPN join our team as Instructor for the Schmieding Home Caregiver Training in Fort Smith.  We asked Sara to tell us a little about her family and her nursing history….

My name is Sara Webb. I have been a LPN for 10 years. I received my training from the Kiamichi Technology Center in Potaeu OK. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in registered nursing. I have a wide background ranging from postpartum care to geriatrics. I wanted to be a nurse since early childhood and even participated as a candy striper as a teen at our  local hospital. I have been married to my husband for eleven years. We have two daughters ages 9 and 7 who keep us busy with everything from dance to soccer! My husband and I share a love of antiques and spend lots of time shopping for treasures. I am excited to join the UAMS team, I have seen firsthand the great care that UAMS provides to its patients. In 2007 I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. I was sent to UAMS from my local hospital. Not only did the doctors and nurses provide great care to myself but also to my daughter who was born prematurely at 24 weeks. I know without the great care that we received at UAMS neither me or my daughter would be here today.
