Fort Smith welcomes new Education Director

We are happy to have Patricia Clark, MBA, BSN, RN, as the new Education Director for the West Central Center on Aging and Schmieding Fort Smith.  Patricia will make a wonderful leader for our team!  We asked Patricia to tell us about herself….

The quality of healthcare available to the aging population has always been my passion. For the past 26 years my career has focused around the quality of care they receive and the community resources they have available to make this a possibility. I am committed to ensuring that the resources are available to the aging population so that they may have the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life.

My career background includes: Home Health Administration, University of Arkansas Fort Smith & Arkansas Tech University Medical Class Instructor, Accreditation Commission for Health Care – Corporate Surveyor, Home Health Consulting, Medical Coding and Billing Consulting.

I have one son, Spencer, who is also a nurse and works with the aging population in Fort Smith. I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening and fine arts.

I am very excited and thankful to have joined the wonderful and caring team at UAMS – Institute on Aging.
