{"id":1386,"date":"2017-08-18T09:25:27","date_gmt":"2017-08-18T14:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uamscaregiving.org\/eldorado\/?p=1386"},"modified":"2017-08-18T09:25:27","modified_gmt":"2017-08-18T14:25:27","slug":"august-owls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uamscaregiving.org\/eldorado\/2017\/08\/18\/august-owls\/","title":{"rendered":"August Older Wiser Livelier Seniors (OWLS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South Arkansas Center on Aging Education Center (SACOA), along with valued community partners (HealthWorks Fitness Center, Medical Center of South Arkansas, &amp; South Ark Community College) hosted the monthly <strong>Older Wiser Livelier Seniors (OWLS)<\/strong> on August 18, 2017 at HealthWorks Fitness Center.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Rogers, of the Arkansas Department of Game and Fish, was our featured guest. \u00a0She led our kindness movement and helped channel our creativity as we painted rocks for <strong>#870PRH<\/strong>. \u00a0This was a fun and exciting time and we will be looking on Facebook to see where our kindness rocks travel.<\/p>\n<p>SACOA exists to support and assist senior adults and their families in the seven\u00a0counties surrounding Union County. We offer a host of community programs to promote the health and well-being of senior adults. We also have a vast resource center with information on aging well, Alzheimer&#8217;s and dementia, and other aspects of aging and senior health.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>OWLS Program<\/strong> is offered the third Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm at Healthworks Fitness Center and is\u00a0<strong>FREE <\/strong>to all senior adults (50 and better).
