This free event is open to the entire community, and will feature an in-depth mini workshop on physical skills for ALS caregivers presented by Bethany Cheatham, RN, CDP. Topics will include information on infection control, skin care, nutrition, body mechanics, mobility, general stress management, safety, and activities of daily living. Other members of the senior health community will be present with booths featuring information on speech devices, home care options, respiratory aides, and more!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Georgia','serif'\">This event will be held at the Schmieding Center on <a title=\"ALS Educational Outreach Event\" href=\"https:\/\/uamscaregiving.org\/eldorado\/event\/als-educational-outreach-event\/\">Wednesday, June 24th from 10:00am &#8211; 2:00pm<\/a>. <em>Lunch will be provided free of charge<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Georgia','serif'\">The Schmieding Center is located in historic downtown El Dorado at 106 West Main St, Suite 310.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Georgia','serif'\">Please RSVP to save a spot to <strong>Cris Mammarelli<\/strong>, Care Services Coordinator at the ALS Association of Arkansas, at <strong>cris@ALS-Arkansas.org<\/strong> or call <strong>(501)-773-3832<\/strong>.
