Family Caregiver Workshops are designed to increase family member’s knowledge of basic caregiving topics and to introduce them to basic caregiving skills needed to care for an older adult in the home. Two separate workshops are offered: one that teaches physical skills and one that teaches skills to care for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Time is allotted for lecture, hands-on demonstrations, and individual questions.
