Centers on Aging

The Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education (SCSHE) is a Center on Aging (COA) of the Reynolds Institute on Aging, in partnership with the UAMS Regional programs, local/regional hospitals, Area Agencies on Aging, local colleges and universities, and local communities. The mission of the COA is to improve health outcomes (see Robert Wood Johnson Foundation) of older Arkansans through interdisciplinary clinical care and innovative education programs, and to influence health policy at the state and national levels with emphasis on care of rural older adults. The SCSHE provides education programming and aging support services in the following 11 counties in northwest Arkansas:
