November is National Family Caregivers Month

You may not realize that you are a caregiver.  Nearly every family in American is affected by caring for an older adult, an ill spouse or a person or child with a disability.  Thousands of people give selflessly of their time and resources to help improve the quality of life for someone they love.

During November, UAMS Schmieding Home Caregiver Training program will be hosting FREE events around the state to celebrate Family Caregivers.  We recognize the value of your contributions, the need for respite, the trials you face on a daily basis.  These events will provide opportunities for educational and community awareness programs that will have an impact all across the state.

In JONESBORO, we will be providing a FREE DEMENTIA CONFERENCE  on November 17 from 10 am to 4 pm. Join us for an inspiring day of education for family caregivers who are interested in learning MORE about resources, challenging conditions and how it affects their care recipient. Expert speakers will be on hand as well as vendors to help you along your journey.
