In Home Assistants Learn Proper Feeding Methods

Jonesboro students learned valuable experience today in feeding others.  Lisa, LaTesha, Jaime, and Katrina fed each other and themselves as if they had a disability, were blind or unable to care for themselves.  In addition, these ladies took and passed their final exam today and will come back this week to demonstrate their competency skills.  If successful they will graduate with their certification that will enable them to seek employment with a non-medical home care agency.  It also qualifies them to return to class in December to complete the Alzheimer’s Dementia course and Home Care Assistant. Following graduation as a Certified Geriatric Caregiver they may take their Certified Nursing Assistant exam in Arkansas.  Compassionate caregiving is a valuable skill and these gals are well on their way to a bright career.
